Israel's US Embassy lambasts Hamas boss over comments celebrating deaths in Gaza

The Jerusalem Post has previously reported how Qatar not only hosts the leader of an internationally recognized terror group but puts him up in five-star luxury hotels.

The Embassy of Israel to the USA took the social messaging site X, formerly Twitter to lambast the leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh following a video released by the Middle East Media and Research Institute (MEMRI).

In the video, Haniyeh directly speaks to the camera declaring that Hamas is not worried about casualties in Gaza and that on the contrary, the blood spilled does not bother him.

"We need the blood of women, children, and the elderly of Gaza... so as to awaken our revolutionary spirit."

The embassy harshly criticized Haniyeh's comments, describing him as ‘vile terrorist scum’ and pointing out the cruel irony of the Hamas boss celebrating as others go to their deaths whilst he himself sits “in the lap of luxury” in Qatar.

Not their first offense

Qatar began this practice when it agreed to host Haniyeh’s predecessor Khalid Mashal in Doha.

Indeed Israel has been criticised over the years for not taking enough of a stand against Qatar and in fact aiding them in transferring funds to the group inside the Gaza Strip.
