Two police officers and a bomb-sniffing dog were wounded in an explosion during an operation to locate illegal weapons in Jaljulya, Israel Police announced on Friday.

Five suspects have been arrested so far.

The officers were conducting a search for illegal weapons when the police dog led them to a suspicious item inside the house.

Despite initial reports that the dog had been killed, Israel Police stated they were “pleased to report that the dog is fine.”

Bomb disposal experts are currently working to finish clearing the scene and the area around the house.
