Two men were wounded on Saturday in a fight that broke out in a synagogue in the town of Kadita in the Upper Galilee.
One of them, a young man approximately 25 years old, was stabbed and is in serious condition, while the other, a man around 45 years old, sustained a head injury and is in moderate condition.
The two were rushed to the Ziv Medical Center in Safed for treatment.
Kinneret District Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
Shooting in a nearby town
Earlier on Saturday, in nearby Ein Zeitun, a 25-year-old young man was shot and seriously wounded. He was taken to the same medical center for treatment.
