Major Arabic-language outlets reported on Wednesday that Hamas said it is ready for a comprehensive deal that would end the war in Gaza and release all Israeli hostages in exchange for an agreed number of Palestinian prisoners. Many framed their headlines around US President Donald Trump’s public appeal to free “all 20” remaining living hostages.

Asharq News led with “Hamas: We are ready for a comprehensive deal to end the war and release all captives,” placing Trump’s call prominently beside the claim. Its write-up echoed Hamas’s long-stated conditions, including a full Israel Defense Forces withdrawal from Gaza, reopening the crossings, and reconstruction.

Sky News Arabia used similar framing, publishing, “After Trump’s message, Hamas is ‘ready’ for a comprehensive agreement to end the war,” while summarizing the package as a one-shot arrangement tied to ending hostilities rather than a phased exchange.

Al-Araby al-Jadeed provided additional detail on process, reporting that Hamas says it is still awaiting Israel’s response to a mediators’ paper presented on August 18. The outlet listed Hamas’s pillars for any agreement — complete withdrawal, open crossings, reconstruction, and a technocratic national administration to run Gaza — and reiterated that the movement frames its readiness within a war-ending package.

Al Jazeera Arabic updated late Wednesday with language that Hamas is prepared “to go to a comprehensive deal” that frees “all captives,” again linking that readiness to an agreement that ends the war and begins rebuilding. The report repeated the demand for a complete withdrawal and said Hamas is waiting for Israel’s formal reply.

English-language headlines mirrored Arabic statements

English-language summaries from regional networks tracked the same line. Al Arabiya noted Hamas’s “comprehensive Gaza deal” formula and paired it with Trump’s same-day statements pressing for the release of all hostages.

Trump’s appeal itself was amplified widely across Arab social feeds used by major broadcasters, reinforcing the timing connection that appeared in headlines.

The Jerusalem Post earlier reported Hamas’s assertion that it is ready for a deal to free all Israeli hostages within a broader agreement. Live updates also captured Trump’s call for the immediate release of “all 20 hostages.”
