CENTCOM confirmed withdrawal on Friday

This follows Witkoff stating in a Friday post to X that CENTCOM had confirmed the Israeli withdrawal and that Hamas's 72-hour period to release the Israeli hostages in Gaza.

Also on Saturday, ABC News reported that two hundred US soldiers had arrived in Israel to monitor the Trump peace agreement. The troops sent reportedly specialize in transportation, planning, logistics, security, and engineering.

Two officials familiar with the matter told ABC that US forces will set up a coordination center but that no American soldiers would enter Gaza.

Later, Witkoff and others boarded an Israeli black hawk helicopter from Reim military base, as photos published by Reuters on Saturday revealed, and the IDF later confirmed. The hostages are expected to arrive at the base after being released from Hamas captivity, the news agency added. The IDF noted that Witkoff "observed the IDF’s preparations for their reception" there.

Witkoff to speak at Hostages' Square Saturday evening

Later, Israeli media noted that Witkoff was set to speak at Tel Aviv's Hostages' Square, a plaza outside the Beit Ariela library and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, that evening.
