A teenage boy was rescued after he climbed a crane to a height of a 36-story building in Jerusalem, Israel's Fire and Rescue Authority announced Monday.

Rescue teams were sent to the scene after receiving a 102 call about the 15-year-old boy. N12 reported the boy called for assistance himself, telling emergency responders, "I need help, I'm stuck...I wanted to see the view."

After locating the climber, rescue crews from a specialized unit focused on difficult rescues were sent to the scene.

The young man reportedly started his ascent at midnight, slipping slightly when he reached the hundred meter mark but recovering his balance before he fell.

Israel Police also arrived at the scene after receiving a call about the teenager, and authorities were able to bring the young man down without incident.

Jerusalem teenager dies after climbing construction equiptment

While the teenager's motive in climbing the crane is not yet public knowledge, the incident comes nearly a month after a 15-year-old ultra-Orthodox (haredi) boy died after falling from a structure at a construction site in Jerusalem.

The teenager had climbed the construction site as part of a mass haredi protest against new conscription laws.

Protesting masses were recorded climbing cranes and construction structures and clashing with both counter-protesters and journalists.

This is a developing story.
