Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar called on countries around the world to sever ties with Iran in a virtual briefing with approximately 60 ambassadors stationed in Israel on Tuesday.
Sa’ar held the briefing to address all countries with an ambassador in Israel, telling them that after the Iranian regime’s attacks on neighboring countries and the massacre of its own people, countries must cut off relations with Iran.
He added that Israel is not prepared to live under a threat of elimination, just as no other country in the world would be willing to do.
In response to Hezbollah’s attack on Israel, Sa’ar said that it “once again proves that Hezbollah operates in the service of Iran and against the interests of Lebanon and its citizens.”
Sa’ar also addressed the Iranian regime’s attacks on the Gulf states, saying that it serves as further proof that Iran is dangerous to all countries in the region.
Germany summons Iranian ambassador
Seperately, Germany’s foreign ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador to call on the country’s leadership to stop attacks on states in the region, it said in a post on X/Twitter.
"We have unequivocally called on the Iranian regime to immediately cease its reckless attacks on countries in the region," the ministry wrote.
It also condemned Iran’s “arbitrary and disproportionate” missile and drone attacks, including on civilian targets.
