The military police entered Bnei Brak on Yitzhak Nafha Street near the Darg Hasidim beit midrash (study hall) on Sunday afternoon.
According to initial reports, a riot began developing in the area.
A police car which entered Hida Street was surrounded and blocked by haredi (ultra-Orthodox) protesters, a video shared on social media showed.
Additional police forces were called to the scene.
