This edited picture was taken at the infamous Nuremburg Trials in 1946, where Holocaust war criminals were put on trial in Nuremberg, Germany after World War II. Göring, Adolf Hitler’s second-in-command, was one of the trial’s main indictments, who later committed suicide in jail.In an interview with Channel 20, Binyamin denied his knowledge of the context of the photo, saying that he wasn’t previously familiar with the original picture, and that he found it on Facebook.“Thanks for telling me,” Abie Binyamin said to Channel 20, “I am going to remove it.”The protest organizer also accused Channel 20 of making the comparison between the prime minister and the Nazi war criminal, saying that he would not have posted the picture knowing the background, and that the Israeli media outlet themselves are the ones making the Nazi comparison.Abie Binyamin apologized on his Facebook page late Sunday night, saying that he often recycles edited pictures of the prime minister to write criticizing posts, explaining that he did not understand the context of the photo and “there are no hints to Nazi paraphernalia in the edited picture,” which he saw and used.This is not the first time that the protest organizer posted controversial pictures of the prime minister on his Facebook page. Binyamin has previously posted photos where Netanyahu is depicted behind bars. Anti-Netanyahu protest organizer posts PM's head on Nazi criminal's body
