Two separate murders occurred in Nazareth and Kafr Qara, claiming the lives of two Arab men and one teenager, KAN News reported on Monday night, as violence continues to plague the Israeli-Arab sector.

Adham Nazim Nassar, 39, and his 16-year-old son were installing cameras outside their home on Monday when they were shot by an unknown assailant, an initial investigation into the incident revealed.

Nassar, the homeowner, was the target of the attack, KAN reported.

A Magen David Adom medic who responded to the scene said that one of the victims was pronounced dead immediately, while the other was rushed to the hospital in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries.

Also on Monday, a 30-year-old man was murdered in Kafr Qara.

MDA medic Guad Mahamid, who responded to the scene, reported that the victim was found “unconscious, without a pulse, not breathing, with serious gunshot wounds to his body.”

Medics attempted to perform life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead shortly following the incident.

KAN reported that a police investigation into the killing has been opened.

Rising violence in the Arab-Israeli sector

Seven Arab Israelis have been murdered in incidents of violent crime since the start of 2026.

The Abraham Initiatives, an organization focused on advancing social cohesion and cooperation between Jewish and Arab Israelis, released a statement on social media regarding the epidemic of violence in the Arab-Israeli sector following the murders.

“The year 2025 has concluded as the deadliest on record for Israel's Arab society, marking a devastating peak in a multi-year crisis of violence and crime,” the statement read, noting that 252 Arab-Israelis were murdered in 218 incidents in 2025.
