Ayman Ghazali, a 41-year-old restaurant worker from Lebanon, had become a naturalized US citizen in 2016, after entering the country on an immigrant Visa. 

“Today’s heinous attack is a frightening and painful reminder that antisemitism continues to be a real and present threat to our Jewish communities,” Gary Torgow told The Jerusalem Post.

For months, people in the US have dressed that slogan up as activism, outrage, or edgy protest. In West Bloomfield, Michigan, on Thursday, it looked like what Jews knew it meant all along: a threat.

According to NBC News, no casualties or injuries resulting from the attack have been reported, other than the suspected shooter, who was killed.  

In an emergency alert, the university said that the two injured individuals were transported to the hospital and that classes and campus operations were canceled for the rest of the day.  

The officer was reportedly transported to Shock Trauma for treatment, while the suspect was also shot. Police have urged the public to avoid the area as the investigation continues.

Rihanna was at home but no injuries were reported, the Los Angeles Times said, citing a source.

Ruben Ray Martinez was shot by a Homeland Security Investigations Agent, Jack C. Stevens, on March 15, 2025. According to another agent, Martinez had first struck him with his car.

Toronto police were called to Temple Emanu‑El at around 10:49 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Officers found multiple bullet holes in the synagogue’s front windows and launched an investigation.
