After her huge success in the Eurovision Song Contest, where she came in second overall, Yuval Raphael will perform in a concert at the Tel Aviv Ganei Yehoshua Amphitheater on October 9 during the Sukkot holiday in the fall, it was announced Wednesday morning.
She will sing her Eurovision song, “New Day Will Rise,” which won the audience voting at the contest. She will also perform several of the songs she sang on the television talent contest, The Next Star, for Eurovision, which she won, including ABBA’s “Dancing Queen.” The newly minted 24-year-old star will sing many other songs, along with surprise guests promised by the concert promoters.
Show comes two years after surviving October 7 attacks
The show will likely be an emotional moment for Raphael, coming just two years after she survived the Hamas massacre at the Nova Music Festival on October 7, 2023, hiding in a bomb shelter where many of those near her were murdered. She dedicated her performances on The Next Star to those who lost their lives, and has spoken often in interviews of trying to honor their memory.
