For many, lunch hour is the favorite time of the workday. You get to go out a bit, breathe some fresh air, and stretch out your legs. The only problem is that during the winter months, the temptation to stay inside a heated office can win over any food craving. So, how do you handle this "Catch 22?" Easy. You order take out. But in a city that offers almost every kind of food imaginable delivered to your doorstep, how do you know what's good? Well, it's not an easy job sorting the good from the bad, but someone had to do it. We checked out some of the city's hottest take-out, just for you (well, a little for us as well)! Here are the results:

TYO is a high-end Japanese bar/restaurant. Ordering a delivery from such a serious place always makes us suspicious, and at the same time hopeful about what the food is going to look and taste like in its delivered version. Well, be still, my beating heart. When you order from TYO, you get the best of the best, even in cardboard containers.
The sushi was absolutely delightful, and as for the specials section, we must say a word for the foie gras (כבד אווז) Tuna. It's a starter of grilled foie gras with tuna nigiri and black tobiko, and what we must say about it is – perfect!

Mina Tomei is a perfect option for a group that wants to order from the same place and eat together, when all share a love of  Asian Food, but want to play it solo and get their own preferences. India, Vietnam, Korea, Japan and Thailand all await your clicks on the restaurant's delivery website. While the Thai curries (yellow curry with tofu and red curry with beef) were just what we were aching for, Thai, yummy and comforting, the real surprise was in the Indian section. The Malai Kofta was a very interesting, delicious version of the beloved dish, seasoned differently than we thought. Best surprise ever!

Who doesn’t know Moses or its famous cat, right? For years, this oh-so-yummy burger chain has become a top destination for burger lovers. So there was no debate on which restaurant we should turn to when we were craving hamburgers. If you’re going to eat a burger for lunch, you'd better make sure it’s worth it (or the calories). Well, ladies and gentlemen, we're happy to say that the burgers were delicious and fresh. We went for the vegan hamburger and for the Artburger (a mix of beef and lamb (טלה) burger). And though we didn’t top ours with anything but the standards – lettuce (חסה), pickles (חמוצים), onion and so on, you should totally top yours with anything from cheese, mushrooms, fried egg or anything else you like. The list of options is endless. Choose from a single or trio meat burger, or even add more if you're feeling really hungry.

Medium, medium-well, smothered in sauce, topped with pickles and lettuce or eaten completely dry, we burger lovers can agree that these great beef patties got our full attention.

Before we talk about our next delivery destination, we'd like to start with a little prayer – Thank you G-d for sending us the best “junk food” ever – pizza. Now, where were we? Oh, yes, we remember… our Tel Aviv’s Worthy Food Take Outs article wouldn’t been complete without a good slice of pizza. And then came Piazza, an Italian Wine & Dine House. We had pizza with mushrooms and artichoke. Of course, we couldn’t help it, and also ordered the Arancini and the Porcini Gnocchi (ניוקי), which was amazing and is highly recommended!

And There Where A Dessert
No meal is complete without dessert, right? You'll be happy to know that there are some great options for dessert deliveries in the big city. One of these places is the Gelateria, an Italian style wonderland of desserts. They are famous for their gourmet ice cream, but not only that. We tried a few of their sweets, such as butter cookies with Nutella cream. They melted on the tongue and were amazing. We also tried the banana-nut cookies, a dream come true for yellow fruit lovers; Ferrero Rocher chocolate bar; Krembo, and the best of all – profiterole filled with crème pâtissier, Nutella and hazelnut (אגוז לוז). Yum! Try them - Uri Zvi Greenberg Street, Tel Aviv.
