Opera singer Emma Shefelan, who redefined the relationship between opera, classical music, pop and rock, is coming to Israel for two performances in which she will host Idan Raichel.
The performances will take place at the Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27. Shefelan combines the styles of opera and classical music with pop, rock and electronic. She began her career as a classical singer, and over time developed into styles such as opera, synthopop and rock, creating a style of her own.
Her versatility caused her audience to be surprised every time anew. The connection with Idan Raichel was forged during Shefelan’s previous visit to Israel. Raichel’s unique music is known for its rich variety of German, Amharic, Arabic, Spanish, French and other languages.
Raichel has attracted a huge overseas audience and is considered one of the most successful Israeli musicians in the world.
Over the years he has collaborated with internationally renowned artists including Alicia Keys, Patrick Bruell, Indie Ari, Martha Gomez, Parca Tora, Andreas Scholl, Nikos Veritas, Carlos Weios, and now Shefelan when she is in Israel.
