In the living-room instead of in the concert hall: The Israel Sinfonietta will perform a live concert Saturday night online. In accordance with the new guidelines, the orchestra’s management has decided to present a live concert online.

All those who have purchased tickets will receive a direct link to the concert. The audience will enjoy a quality viewing and listening experience – the music of Mozart and Chopin in their living rooms. The Sinfonietta is making every effort to  preserve the health of its players, in accordance with instructions that include transparent partitions in front of the wind players and keeping the necessary distance between the players while they are playing on stage.
Orchestra manager Claudia Czobel delivered these remarks: “We decided that we did not want to cancel the concert. Our audience is thirsty for quality music so we have set up an arrangement that allows us to present our concert in live performance online. Now classical music lovers in Israel and around the world can purchase tickets and enjoy a classical concert featuring our live orchestra onstage with internationally known solo pianist Asaf Kleinman and conductor Sivan Albo Ben-Hur.”
Internationally-known pianist Asaf Kleinman has come to us from his home in Austria, spending three weeks in quarantine in order to be able to perform the first concert of the Israel Sinfonietta Beersheva since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. Kleinman, who is originally from Beersheva, decided that he would make every effort to participate in this concert. Yesterday the decision was made that because of the new guidelines the concert would have to be a live performance streamed online.
