Want tickets to this year's Eurovision? Turns out you might be able to score them just by watching the news. KAN, Israel's public broadcaster and host of this year's Eurovision, is holding a special giveaway this Election Day.
How to enter? Watch KAN 11's election night news broadcast and exit poll, which begins at 9:45pm. Comment on KAN's Facebook page and if your comment gets read out loud on the KAN Tarbut (Culture) radio show, then you could win tickets. KAN said that the "funniest, sharpest comments" will be the champions.
Perhaps the public broadcaster is hoping that the giveaway will help boost the ratings of its nightly news broadcast, which consistently fall far behind those of Channel 12 and Channel 13.
KAN did not specify if the tickets will be to the Eurovision grand finale on May 18 - which now includes a performance by Madonna - or to one of the semifinals on May 14 and 16. The first round of tickets to the grand finale sold out within hours of going on sale last month. But tickets for the two semi-finals, and rehearsals for all three shows, are still available - though the price tag is steep:  NIS 1,000-NIS 1,250 for remaining seats at the live semi-final.
An additional round of tickets to the grand finale will go on sale later this month.
