Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has signed a major $1.2 billion agreement to supply air defense systems to a foreign customer, IAI announced Thursday.

“In the wake of the Iron Swords War, IAI is in an accelerated process of supplying systems and solutions for the Israeli defense system in all areas –  on land, sea, air, and in space –  and at the same time, it is also working with its customers around the world,” said Boaz Levy, CEO of IAI.

The involvement of the Defense Ministry

The transaction between IAI and the foreign customer is being carried out through the Israeli Defense Ministry. The IAI will serve as the primary contractor in the project.

The air defense system has advanced technological capabilities, which have been operationally proven.

“This transaction joins a series of transactions in air defense systems signed recently, strengthening the company’s position as a world leader in the field,” Levy said.
