A 13-year-old boy from Tel Aviv was arrested by Israel Police and Shin Bet for allegedly carrying out tasks on behalf of Iran.

During interrogations, the teen said that Iranian operatives contacted him on the Telegram app and offered him money for a small number of tasks.

The boy was meant to photograph the Iron Dome

He sprayed graffiti in Tel Aviv at the behest of the Iranian agents. One of the tasks, which he did not do, was to photograph the Iron Dome air defense system.

He was released to house arrest and his parents were informed.

This is the latest in a string of about a dozen cases of spying by Israelis for Iran, since the Israel-Hamas War began in October 2023.
