IDF vets injured in the 2014 conflict with Hamas are in India this week on a visit to help them unwind, organized by the Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization – Beit Halochem.
The visit, organized together with El Al, saw members of the group go on a rafting trip in the Ganges River, embark on a trek in the Himalaya Mountains, and tour villages frequented by backpackers.
"The entire journey is part of the rehabilitation process, and is designed to provide members of the group with tools to deal with their personal journey, improve the empowerment process, and raising their self confidence," organizers said in a statement.
Israel and Hamas ended 50-days of fighting in Operation Protective Edge last August.
