IsraAID team to help victims of South-Indian floods
Residents of the Indian state of Kerala currently face the worst flood recorded in a century. The Israeli NGO is deploying a response team.

Israeli humanitarian NGO IsraAID sent a response team to the South-Indian state of Kerala on Tuesday following the deaths of at least 220 people since the rains grew heavier in early August. Thousands of people are currently stranded after their homes became inaccessible because of the flood and 725,000 people fled their homes and currently reside in relief camps.IsraAID keeps an office in Nepal and the response team is composed of Nepali and international team members. The team will provide urgent relief items and assess the long-term psychological needs of the communities hurt by the large-scale natural disaster.IsraAID currently operates humanitarian programs in 17 countries and responded to crises in 47 locations.
