For a few minutes during the first Eurovision semi-final on Israel's KAN 11 Tuesday night, the feed was hacked and threatening messages appeared.
One such message read "Warning: Risk of Missile Attack, Please Take Shelter," while another read "Israel is NOT Safe. You Will See!"
The messages were removed within a few minutes.
"It appears that tonight, during the first semi-final, the KAN website was hacked for a few minutes," the public broadcaster said early Wednesday morning. "We don't believe that the messages were seen by many people." KAN added that both it and the European Broadcasting Union "view the issue of cyber security as very important and the issue is being investigated."
