Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to quickly advance the law that allows for a coronavirus lockdown.
To this end, a long telephone consultation was held late Saturday, between Netanyahu, Constitution Committee chairman MK Yaakov Asher, Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin Health Minister Yuli Edelstein and deputy Health Minister Yoav Kish.
Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit and National Security Council head Meir Ben Shabbat also participated in the call.

The Ministerial Committee on Legislative Affairs approved a draft of the coronavirus bill earlier this month, which was modified by the  justice minister in coordination with the prime minister, alternate prime minister and health minister.
