The Israel Police found the body of a man deep in a thicket in the Neot Hakikar area south of the Dead Sea, whom they believe went missing during last weeks flash floods.Ayman Jaber, a 47-year-old truck driver, went missing last week during unseasonable storms, which battered parts of Israel. Police have informed Jaber’s family.Authorities discovered the body on Thursday with the help of a police dog and military tracker, which took part in the week-long search that included drones, helicopters and rescue boats. An operation to extract the body and transfer it to the Institute of Forensic Medicine was under way.Unusually heavy rains last week caused river beds that are normally dry to swell into deadly torrents. The deadliest incident claimed the lives of ten students from the Bnei Zion pre-military academy who drowned during the flash floods close to where Jaber also went missing. Two Beduin children were also killed after being washed away in separate torrents last Wednesday, while a Palestinian teenage girl drowned in Bethlehem.
