A 15-goal haul in a single match is an extraordinary feat, even at the highest levels of competitive water polo. Mika Koren of Hapoel Emek Hayarden put on a masterclass in offensive dominance during the third round of the women's league, netting 15 times to power her squad to a 33–4 blowout over Hapoel Givat Haim. Koren single-handedly outscored the entire opposition by more than triple, topping her previous personal mark of 12 goals set across the opening two fixtures of the season. She now comfortably commands the top of the league's scoring charts with 27 goals.
The victory keeps Emek Hayarden atop the table with a perfect 3-0 record. Gili Borenstein chipped in with five goals, while Yuval Raz and Dasha Weisberg contributed four apiece.
Hapoel Kiryat Tivon also preserved its unblemished record by cruising past Maccabi Haifa 19–9 in a key high-stakes matchup. Libby Gur-Koren spearheaded the winning effort with five goals, supported by Nofar Hochberg’s four and Shani Yakoboviz’s three. Maccabi Haifa’s offense was led by Tahel Levi with five goals, while Brazilian import Giovana Postigo added two.
The upset of the round unfolded in Yokne'am, where defending double-holders Hapoel Yokne'am fell 17–16 at home to ASA Tel Aviv. The shock result leaves Yokne'am still searching for its first win of the season - a stunning fall for a program that has dominated domestic women's water polo for years. Gil Roitman and Yaheli Rokach each tallied five goals to guide the visitors to victory, overshadowing a brilliant nine-goal effort from Yokne'am’s Carmel Rahum and four from Shunit Strugo.
The men's division saw no such disruptions, as the favorites handled business smoothly. Hapoel Givat Haim delivered a ruthless performance on the road, dismantling Hapoel Beit Yitzhak/Avihayil 24–5. Tomer Arazi set the pace for Givat Haim with seven goals, while Eitan Yehezkeli and Tom Grundland contributed three each. Roy Weisberger registered two goals for the hosts.
In the round's other men's fixture, Maccabi Haifa secured a decisive 19–11 victory over Hapoel Yokne'am. Evyatar Levi powered Haifa's attack with four goals, while Aviv Gadron scored twice in Yokne'am's effort.
