142 soldiers to get citations for Lebanon war

142 soldiers who fought in the Second Lebanon War are due to receive citations on Wednesday. IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi on Tuesday night authorized the final list of soldiers, which includes 34 who will be awarded their citation from the chief of staff himself. Ashkenazi will also award four citations for fallen soldiers which will be given to their families. Twenty of the citations to be awarded by Ashkenazi are Chief of Staff Citations, 12 are Medals of Distinguished Service and six are Medals of Valor.
