19-year-old man held for allegedly raping nieces and nephews

A 19-year-old Israeli man was under arrest Thursday for allegedly raping and otherwise sexually molesting his three young nieces and nephews for over a year, police said. The suspect, who was apprehended following a complaint by a social worker, is suspected of raping and abusing the children, aged 5-11, while watching them in their home, Jerusalem police spokesman Asi Aharoni said. The alleged child rapist, a new immigrant from Ethiopia, denies the allegations against him. He was remanded in custody by a Jerusalem court for five days on Thursday.
