A Palestinian gunman who opened fire at two border policemen in east Jerusalem Thursday was shot and killed, police and rescue officials said.
One of the policemen was seriously wounded in the nighttime attack in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Jebl Mukaber, while the other was lightly wounded.
Both policemen were rushed to Jerusalem's Hadassah university hospital.
Police searched the area for any additional accomplices and weaponry, and found additional bullets and the attacker's identification card in his pocket.
