A-G: Last summer's war was most 'legalized' in Israel's history

Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz has called the Second Lebanon War the most "legalized" war in Israel's history.
In his testimony to the Winograd Committee, Mazuz described the dilemmas Israel had faced in real-time during the war as it attempted to minimize humanitarian suffering.
Mazuz called the legal scrutiny to which Israel had been held during the war a result of the "gradual legalization of Israeli society."
