'A mother cannot put a price tag on her child'

"They say there's a high price to pay for your release, but any mother knows there is no price too high for the life of her child," Aviva Schalit, mother of captive Cpl. Gilad Schalit said in a convention in Haifa, Thursday evening. Schalit read out a heart-felt letter to her son Gilad, expressing hope that he would soon be released. Her tone was laced with disappointment that after more than a whole year since his kidnapping, her son was still held by his Palestinian kidnappers.
