MK Taleb A-Sanaa (United Arab List) criticized on Wednesday the arrest of Islamic Movement leader Sheikh Raed Salah for allegedly attacking police during a violent protest against the Mughrabi bridge excavations near the Temple Mount.
Sanaa demanded that Salah be released immediately. "This is a political arrest and the decision is a mistake, like other decisions in a string of mistakes," Sanaa said.
"The solution is not the arrest of Sheikh Salah, but rather a halt to the excavations that pose a threat to the peace and stability in the area."
