A 2-year-old Arab infant en route to a Jerusalem hospital was lightly injured by shards of glass Wednesday night after suspected Jewish assailants pelted the car he was traveling in with stones on Yom Kippur, police said. The boy was treated for his injuries at Jerusalem's Hadassah University Hospital at Ein Karem. In a separate incident, a van transporting nurses to Jerusalem's Sha'are Tzedek Hospital was pelted with stones in the city's Armon HaNatziv neighborhood by suspected Jewish assailants at the start of Yom Kippur, police said. The vehicle was damaged by the stones, but there were no injuries reported in the stoning.
