Barak to Bloomberg: The residents of New York know what terrorism is

Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Sunday met with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is in Israel to show solidarity during Operation Cast Lead.
"The residents of New York know what terrorism is," Barak said to Bloomberg. "The residents of Israel have known terror and aggression for eight straight years, during which we have shown restraint, but the time has come to take action. We are not eager to go to battle but we will not allow continued Hamas attacks on our civilians."
