Barrages of mortar shells hit western Negev

Close to 20 mortar shells and Kassam rockets rained down on the western Negev on Monday. No one was wounded, but some buildings reportedly sustained damage. At 5 p.m., the IDF reported that a barrage of mortars was being fired by Palestinian terrorists into the area near the Kissufim Crossing, which before Israel's withdrawal was the main passageway into the Gaza Strip.
