A 24-year-old Beduin woman from a village in the south of Israel turned herself in to the Beersheba police on Tuesday morning after stabbing her husband, 27, to death Monday. The woman told police that she and her five children had suffered years of abuse by her husband. She added that Monday night, her husband had complained that one of their young children was making noise and disturbing his sleep. The woman told police that her husband had threatened that if she did not soothe the child, he would strangle both of them. After the husband fell asleep, the woman said, she took a kitchen knife and stabbed him, then fled. The husband's brother took him to the hospital, where he died of his wounds.
