Ben-Eliezer: Assad must talk to Israel for Syria's continued existence

Syrian President Bashar Assad "has every reason to sit down and talk with Israel, including the continued existence of Syria," National Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer told Army Radio on Thursday.
Ben-Eliezer said Israel should do everything it can to bring about discussions with Syria. He welcomed Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's statements on Wednesday that he was willing to make peace with Syria.
