Ben-Eliezer backs targeted killing policy in Gaza

Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer called on the IDF on Monday to target any Palestinians involved in the rocket fire at Israel. In an interview with Israel Radio, Ben-Eliezer said that the government's policy of targeted killing was definitive and effective, and that it was limiting the terrorists' activity. The Gaza Strip has become one of the largest terror bases in the world, as well as a massive weapons storage area, he said. However, Ben-Eliezer disapproved of launching a ground incursion into the area, since it could return Israel to a quagmire that would be difficult to get out of.
