Infrastructure Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said that to the best of his knowledge, Israel has no new information on the fate of kidnapped IDF soldiers Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser, Army Radio reported Tuesday evening.
Unlike with the soldiers in Lebanon, Ben-Eliezer expressed optimism about the status of Cpl. Gilad Shalit and the probability of his release, saying "I believe soon we'll see him home."
