The Gil Pensioners' party elected Ya'akov Ben-Yizri to the post of health minister in a secret ballot held by the party on Thursday.
Ben-Yizri won by one vote, receiving nine votes.
He competied for the post with MK Moshe Sharoni, who received only eight votes.
