Members of bereaved families sent a letter to members of the Knesset Sunday imploring them not to elect Vice Premier Shimon Peres as president.
According to the families, Peres "has shown weakness in real time. He could have prevented the Second Lebanon War but did not put his words into actions," Army Radio reported.
