Bil'in villagers: Jewish family illegally moved into East Matityahu

Bil'in villagers have complained that one Jewish family moved into an apartment in the neighborhood of East Matityahu in Modi'in Ilit despite a High Court interim injunction prohibiting changes in the status quo. The court is currently considering a petition charging that the existing apartment buildings in the neighborhood were built without permits and according to an outline plans which were not approved. One of the villagers, Abdullah Abu Rahme, told The Jerusalem Post that on Tuesday, he and other farmers who were cultivating their land noticed a truck bringing furniture to one of the buildings. The farmers were told that two families were moving in. They called police who managed to stop one of the families. The other succeeded in moving their goods in. The petitioners' lawyer, Michael Sfard, lodged a complaint with the police over the violation of the court order.
