The Secondary School Teachers Union announced on Sunday that high schools in the central region would be closed on Monday from 11 a.m. onward due to the ongoing teachers' strike.
Schools in the South were to close at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
The teachers have been intermittently shutting down schools in different districts in protest of delays in salary agreements.
