Consumer price index rises a surprising 0.5 percent

Israel's consumer price index rose a surprising 0.5 percent in March, the Central Bureau of Statistics announced on Tuesday.
The figure was far higher than expected. After four months of a negative trend, forecasts had predicted that if the index were to rise at all, it would do so by no more than 0.2%.
