Court places second suspect in decapitation murder case under house arrest

A Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court has placed the second suspect in a gruesome decapitation murder case under house arrest. Irna Ashkenazi, 50, was brought before the court on Monday for a custody hearing. Ashkenazi, a hairdresser from Petah Tikva, was the murder victim's former girlfriend and flatmate. The head of Valery Gittleman, 34, was found in a garbage bin by a cleaning woman last week, while his torso was found in the victim's nearby apartment. Kiril Shaikrezeiv, 26, has confessed to slaying and beheading Gittleman, and will be charged with murder.
