Dichter hopes Olmert won't dismiss Livni

Public Security Minister Avi Dichter said on Thursday that he hoped Prime Minister Ehud Olmert would not fire Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, Israel Radio reported. Dichter said he believes that Livni spoke honestly and bravely in her speech on Wednesday. "Heaven help us if words that were said sincerely are turned into a double-edged sword against the person saying them," he said. The public security minister added that he was glad the prime minister had decided not to follow advice to dismiss Livni.
