By YAAKOV LAPPIN
Outgoing Public Security Minister Avi Dichter bid farewell to the police on Monday, and delivered a farewell speech in which he encouraged police "to fear nothing but the law."
"Don't let minor or veteran politicians intimidate you. The Israel Police deals with the most painful and aggravating issues in the country, since every citizen can encounter the police in different
situations," Dichter said.
Police Commissioner Insp.-Gen. David Cohen thanked Dichter for the "full backing we received from you which guaranteed the success.. of the war on crime, organized crime, traffic accidents, and promoting
the[new] policy of appointments."
