Dichter says surprises in store in Kadima leadership race

Public Security Minister Avi Dichter said Thursday afternoon that he would continue to run in the Kadima leadership race and that he had every chance of winning. "Maybe it seems I am a lone candidate, but I am not alone. I have many volunteers and workers assisting and supporting me," he said during a scholarship ceremony for Druse students in Haifa. Regarding Finance Minister Ronnie Bar-On's earlier endorsement of Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, Dichter said, "I have another five weeks until the primaries," asserting that there were "surprises in store." Although admitting that he had only recently started to prepare for the primaries, the public security minister declared, "Each one of us is running with the goal of winning on September 17."
