An elderly woman was assaulted and robbed in her Jerusalem apartment Monday by a young assailant, police said. The suspected attacker entered the woman's flat in the city's Kiryat Hayovel neighborhood, beat her and then ripped a necklace off her neck, earrings off her ears and a bracelet off her hand before fleeing, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The woman, who was lightly to moderately injured, was taken to Hadassah-University Hospital at Ein Kerem. Three suspects were detained for questioning.
