Fatah official: Olmert moderate in his words, not actions

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert appears moderate, but in actuality he is nothing of the sort, top Fatah official Jibril Rajoub said Thursday. "In words, he is better than [former Meretz chairman] Yossi Beilin, but in actions, he is worse than [NU/NRP MK] Effie Eitam," Rajoub told Israel Radio. The Fatah official went on to say that he did not believe Hamas was planning a takeover of the West Bank but that if the group wins new elections, Fatah will respect its victory.
