Four hurt in Eshkol mortar attack

At least 25 rockets fired, one lands near Eshkol kindergarten, another damages Ashkelon school.

Two soldiers were seriously wounded and two were lightly hurt on Thursday when Palestinian terrorists fired several mortar shells at the Eshkol region, in the western Negev. Five more people were treated for shock. The casualties were taken to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba. Terrorists had fired at least 25 rockets at southern Israeli civilian areas by late Thursday afternoon, one damaging a school and sports center in Ashkelon. Both buildings were empty at the time of the attack. In the latest attack, a rockets landed near a kindergarten in the Eshkol region. No one was wounded and no damage was reported.
