Israeli troops on Wednesday shot and killed a 16-year-old Palestinian boy in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical officials said.
The shooting occurred in Khouza, a village near the town of Khan Younis, the officials said.
Three other people were wounded, they added.
The army said soldiers operating in the area had shot a Palestinian who was trying to plant a bomb.
